Welcome from the Head
Dear Families,
I sincerely hope that you and your child find this website helpful in providing you with a real sense of the many brilliant things that Whitefriars has to offer.
At Whitefriars we strive to involve all members of our Whitefriars community: children, staff, parents, governors, all working together to achieve a common goal. We encourage parents to work in partnership with us to achieve these ends.
As a Church of England Primary Academy, we have a strong Christian ethos which forms the foundation of all we do. Through the teaching and learning at Whitefriars, we try and help the children to appreciate the awe and wonder in the world around them and to recognise that God is there in everything we do. Our strong religious character is supported by close links with both King’s Lynn Minster and All Saints’ churches. Whitefriars aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith, and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to all its pupils.
Whitefriars’ purpose is to offer a broad and balanced education of the highest quality in a happy, stimulating, secure and caring environment based on equal regard for each individual
Our vision is that all children at Whitefriars, as they move through our school, develop their character, which we define as a set of positive personal traits, dispositions and virtues that informs their motivation and guides their conduct so that they reflect wisely, learn eagerly, behave with integrity and cooperate consistently well with others. This gives pupils the qualities they need to flourish in our society.
Finally, I would like to assure you of our determination to provide your child with every possible opportunity to fulfil his / her potential. If there is anything else you would like to discuss, please don’t hesitate to contact me. You are also more than welcome to visit us at your convenience to see first-hand the very high expectations we set for the children at Whitefriars.
