Recycling Centre visits the school

This week the Reception classes had a fantastic visit from the Recycling Centre.
They found out some fantastic facts all about recycling, including:
- They recycle food waste using bugs to create electricity.
- They empty 4.5 million bins a year and 75,000 bins a week.
- They can turn baked bean cans into a fridge.
- Rubber tyres can be recycled into playground padding.
The children had lots of fun exploring the parts of the recycling lorry and some of them wanted to sit in the lorry too! ♻️
