Whitefriars Church of England Primary Academy

PATHS World Model School

We are very excited to have been named one of Norfolk's first two PATHS model schools. Whitefriars Primary Academy and Freethorpe Primary are two of the first eight schools in the UK to be awarded model school status by PATHS Education Worldwide.

In March at the First PATHS & Barnado’s UK Conference in London both schools were presented with plaques by Professor Mark Greenberg  (Chair of PATHS Education Worldwide and originator of PATHS) and Dorothy Morelli  (CEO of PATHS Education Worldwide).  We are very proud of the fact that two Norfolk schools are leading the way demonstrating good practice in PATHS.

PATHS is an evidence based social and emotional programme helping to build self-esteem, resilience and confidence as a foundation for academic achievement. PATHS aims to help all pupils become independent problem solvers and to prepare them to lead successful adult lives as part of society.

PATHS is delivered to all pupils aged 5 – 11 years in 72 schools across Norfolk with another 13 schools to start In September. Thank you to Mrs Marshall for all of her hard work in leading PATHS throughout our school.
