Mayoral Visit
On Tuesday 20th the children and staff of Whitefriars had an exciting visit from the Mayor and Mayoress.
The Mayor talked to all of the children in assembly about his role as Mayor and all his duties, his life before becoming a Mayor as a chef and all about the special attire he has to wear when on official engagements. The children were given the chance to ask him some questions.
After assembly the newly formed school council of 2016/17 had their first duty to provide refreshments for the Mayor, Mayoress and their driver. After having some photographs taken with the Mayor, the children had another chance to find out some of the Mayor's secrets.
An enjoyable morning for all!
